Auckland’s Central Interceptor

The Central Interceptor is 14.7km long tunnel with several link sewers and shafts constructed by Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture (GA) from Western Springs to the Māngere Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Envivo were engaged as independent specialists to undertake Building and Asset Dilapidation surveys as well as Building Deformation Monitoring. The scope of works includes assessing around 124 buildings along the network of tunnels and shafts. Our Structural Engineering and Surveying teams have been working hard on this project over the past few months and are looking forward to getting back out on site once it is safe to work again after New Zealand’s Covid-19 lockdown restrictions are eased.
