Laser scanning Tāne Mahuta

It was great to see our laser scanning work feature on last night’s episode of TVNZ’s Seven Sharp.

Envivo surveyor Nathan Cossar, assisted AUT’s 2019 Artist in Residence Joseph Michael to create the first ever life-sized digital reconstruction of Tāne Mahuta. Tāne Mahuta is New Zealand’s largest known living kauri tree located in Northland’s Waipoua Forest. Nathan used point cloud scan data imagery to capture Tāne Mahuta.

Point cloud scanning technology is quick, accurate and cost efficient.  Find out how Envivo’s laser scanning team can assist your next project with this cutting edge technology.

How can we help to move your next project forward?
