Bethesda Retirement Village required specialist engineering concept design for their complex expansion. The modern new buildings offer a variety of housing options, located on the same site, in Wiri, Auckland, close to Manukau Shopping Centre.
We worked closely with Klein Architects and the Bethesda site manager to provide:
- Water supply
a full report on the existing infrastructure currently installed on site (based on our topographic survey information). Our engineers summarised reuse of the infrastructure for the proposed new development - Wastewater
Review of the existing infrastructure currently installed on site, calculations to determine demand on the network based on 36 additional residential apartments - Stormwater
Review of the existing infrastructure and discussions that no further stormwater mitigation would be required due to existing impervious areas onsite - Overland Flow
Review of Council records and high-level determination of actual overland flow effects on the proposed building, including development considerations that need to be made to accommodate any overland flow - Earthworks
Preliminary determination of extent of earthworks in terms of area and volume, determination of cut and fill depths and advice with regard to likely erosion and sediment control measures to be made during works. The earthwork modelling was based on the architect’s concept drawings.
