Envivo planners and surveyors have work closely with Euroclass Design + Build for many years. The latest project is a landmark commercial build in Onehunga that has an enviable position overlooking State Highway 20, the Manukau harbour and Gloucester Reserve and lagoon.
James Hook, Planning Director, managed the resource consent process. He said “We are delighted to have achieved Euroclass’s ambitions for the site. There were substantial infringements for resource consent relative to the reserve boundary on two sides of the site. Auckland Council’s regulatory planners agreed that the effects were less than minor and we were able to proceed without notifications. We applied for resource consent initially as a general design-build and then varied it to include architectural facades designed by Woodhams Meikle Zhan.
“There were a few challenges on site, for example a Vector gas easement meant we needed to liaise with Vector to ensure there were no issues with building excavations and the construction process. It is necessary to obtain a Permit To Work within a pipeline easement from Vector to ensure safety conditions are met and all stakeholders briefed on safe work practices.”
Envivo consultants provided:
- Land use consent to establish an office building site with three levels
- Topographical survey to capture the features and contours of the area including ground levels, spot levels, boundaries, existing buildings and services etc.
- S127 Variation Application
- Setout survey for construction commencement
