Envivo engineers and surveyors are working with Brown Day Group architects on Library Lane, a large mixed-use development in Albany, Auckland.
Works are now underway with contractors fully established onsite and bulk excavations commencing shortly. Envivo’s engineering and surveying team will be intimately involved throughout the project, providing construction observation services, construction and groundwater monitoring services and reporting to Auckland Council on compliance with resource consent conditions relating to the construction works. Chris Shortt, Envivo’s Civil Engineering manager says “it is great to see this project move into its next phase, and it will be exciting to see the development take shape over the next few months.”
Integrated civil engineering works on this site include:
- Earthworks
- Erosion and sediment control
- New waste water systems
- New stormater systems
- Construction of two new lanes built to a public standard
- Redesign of the street frontage of Library Lane including visually attractive tree pits
- Detailed engineering design work
Surveying:
- Topographical Surveys – including the proposed path site and any native trees within 4m of the path
- Setout Survey plus preliminary excavation buildings 7, 8 & 9 and height datum
- Construction Deformation and settlement monitoring
Chris Shortt, Engineering Team Leader, added ‘this has been a thoroughly interesting project with challenges to overcome due to the existing commercial site, which is to be demolished, plus the river on the west side of the property. We thoroughly enjoy working with the team at Brown Day Group. The projects are thoughtful and designed beautifully to fit the environment. These apartments are in a great location, close to urban facilities but with a bush-outlook and surrounding parks.’
