Located on Randolph Street, the resulting project is a 9-level apartment building that includes 64 apartments and two and a half levels of basement parking. The development is designed in reinforced concrete and has double glazing that exceeds current acoustic and thermal requirements.
Envivo’s services on the project include civil engineering infrastructure design and reporting to support the development’s resource consent, construction monitoring and certification for the new services, and the full suite of structural engineering design, documentation and construction observations. Envivo’s surveying team is also monitoring the works for settlement during construction.
Complexities within the project include the use of transfer beams on level 3, with moment-resisting frames and shear walls. In addition, to overcome the slope for the existing site, the foundation was keyed into the bedrock onsite.
